Research Library hours and services
The library offers opportunities for personal or staff-assisted research. Materials in the library contain the common theme of 20th century military history with an emphasis on American airpower, and are designed to enhance the public's understanding of the collections. The library has over 6,000 books, over 13,000 periodicals, more than 900 videos, as well as newspapers, microfilm, and numerous technical and field manuals. The library is collecting any research material available on World War II air bases that were located in Texas and New Mexico.
Volunteers are needed on the weekends to keep the library open to the public. If you would like to volunteer, please call Dot Britton, Education Coordinator at (432) 563-1000 ext. 2250.
We will be happy to assist you in any way we can. If you wish to research in the library, please read the Guidelines for Visitors to help your search. If you will let us know ahead of time that you are coming, you can be assured that someone will be available to help you.
If you would like to come to the library for research, please call Dot Britton or Emily Broome, Education Assistant at (432) 563-1000 ext. 2248. If you have any questions, email library@aahm.org or education@aahm.org.
