Q. Do you have a certain manual?
A. We have not completed our inventory as of yet. Our manuals deal mostly with WWII aircraft. Go to www.eflightmanuals.com for technical manuals in PDF format.
   
Q. Do you have a certain photograph?
A. Contact our Collections department at registration@aahm.org or the National Archives Still Pictures Branch at (301) 837-3530-main office, (301) 837-0539-Research room or by emailing stillpix@nara.gov.
   
Q. Do you know what happened to a certain plane?
A. If you have the serial number, visit the website http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/usafserials.html. If you are looking for a particular piece of Nose Art, use the B-17 Nose Art Name Directory or the B-24 Nose Art Name Directory by Roger Forman. Also, try the United States Air Force Historical Research Agency at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama; their contact information is on the Information Resource page.
   
Q. Do you have information on my relative that served in WWII?
A. More than likely, we do not. Try the National Personnel Records Center. You will need full name, service number, service dates, DOB, branch of service, etc. Their contact information is on the Information Resource page. How to Locate Anyone Who Is or Has Been in the Military by Lt. Col. Richard S. Johnson is a helpful book.
   
Q. I need information about a particular CAF plane.
A. You can look up the aircraft at www.commemorativeairforce.org and contact the unit that owns that particular aircraft. Or you can contact Eric Van Hoff at maintenance@cafhq.org.
   
Q. Can you tell me what the value of a certain item is?
A.

A. Air Force Combat Units of WWII or WWII Combat Squadrons of the United States Air Force by Mauer Mauer are both helpful books. Also contact the USAFHRA at Maxwell AFB or the Mighty 8 th Air Force Heritage Museum. Contact information for both places is on the Information Resource page.
   
Q. Can you help me find blueprints for a particular aircraft?
A. If it is a plane made by Boeing, contact Michael Lombardi at (425) 865-3798 or at michael.j.lombardi@boeing.com. He is their chief historian. If it is a Curtiss plane, contact the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum; contact information is on the Information Resource page. Also try the National Air and Space Museum. Their information is on the Information Resource page.
