Many of the top performers of the day came to boost the morale of the troops. Stars such as Jennifer Jones, Jack Benny, Errol Flynn, Danny Kaye, Al Jolson, Mickey Rooney, Frances Langford, Marilyn Monroe, Paul Douglas, Jan Sterling, Marilyn Maxwell and Bob Hope all came to perform for the troops. This brought much laughter and gaiety to the men and women. For that hour or two, it felt like they were back home.

Camp Shows, Inc. sent 126 entertainment units overseas. In total, over 5,400 shows were performed for the soldiers in Korea . Not a day went by without a show. The harsh cold winters of Korea were shared by the entertainers who performed on stage while thousands of soldiers sat bundled up against the freezing temperatures with snow all around.
