The period following World War I, from the 1920’s to beginning of World War II in the late 1930’s, was one of the most exciting in aviation history.

Countless advances in aeronautics were accomplished, record-breaking flights across oceans opened up international air travel that gave birth to commercial airlines and permanently changed the world’s concept of time and space.

Several nations sought to compete in International Air Races and air shows, which had profound effects on aviation development fostering design and technological advances.
