| After touring the Dynamics of Flight exhibit, the cadets are ready to begin building gliders made out of balsa wood. CAF Cols Glen Tabor and Glen Tauscher are on hand to teach the cadets how to sand down the wood and glue the pieces together. Once finished, the cadets put their knowledge to the test: will their glider fly? If not, they must determine the reason, using what they learned during the Dynamics of Flight section.
When all the gliders are ready, the contest begins! The gliders are flown and timed for their duration in the air. At the graduation ceremony on the third day, prizes are given to the top three cadets with the longest airtime.
